Rolling Revolt is a third-person action beat-em-up on roller skates, created in Unity. As Producer, I led a team of 15 people to create this game over the span of an entire school year, starting production in October and finishing in May. The game was praised by our peers and professor alike, earning an A in the course.
My largest project by far, my main responsibilities during the school year were split between programming and project management. As a member of the code team, I was responsible for level/progression scripting, fixing bugs, and implementing mechanics like the dialogue system. As producer, I was responsible for managing the rest of the team using the productivity software ClickUp to assign tasks and delegate work. I was also responsible for creating frequent presentations to show the team's progress, managing interpersonal issues, producing productivity reports for our Professor, video production (like the Production Documentary), and creating our Steam Page.
Now that the school year has passed and our team has shrunk to just me and Raul, my primary responsibility has been critically assessing and modifying the game's plot, progression, mechanics, and art to ensure that the final product is the best it can be. Since returning to the project after summer break, I have re-written the game's entire script, added new objectives and sections of level design, removed or fixed buggy mechanics, and designed and programmed an entirely new final boss. When the project is completed, it will be available for free at the link below.
